Who not to confuse us with
The word istmo appears in the name of many organisations, in Panama and beyond. There is at least one whose domain differs from ours by a single letter. To avoid confusion, these are the similarly named organisations that do not have any relationship with IstmoDigital:
Revista ISTMO (istmodigital.com)
A Mexican business and leadership magazine published by IPADE, founded in 1959. Its digital edition uses the domain istmodigital.com, ending in .com. It is the most frequent confusion and has no relationship with us whatsoever.
Istmo Digital (Vancouver, Canada)
A marketing and advertising agency based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It shares the name but is a different company, in another country.
Istmo Code
A software development studio operating in Panama. A different company, with no corporate or commercial relationship to IstmoDigital.
Universidad del Istmo
A Panamanian educational institution. It has no relationship with this company.
Istmo Panamá
A communication platform for entrepreneurs and startups. A different company.
i-Digital
A WhatsApp Business API service provider. Similar name, different company.
The simplest way to check: our domain ends in .net and our client system lives at app.istmodigital.net. If the site you are looking at is not one of those two, it is not ours.

Cognitive agents that answer on the website, on WhatsApp and by phone, trained on the business's real information. They answer, qualify prospects, book appointments and escalate to a person when needed.

Our own multi-company system: contacts, opportunities, quotes and activities on the commercial side; multi-warehouse inventory, purchasing, suppliers and warehouses on the operational side. The AI scores prospects, summarises contacts and suggests the next step.

How what we sell is built
The team works from Panama City and the software — the CRM, the ERP and the AI agent engine — is built in house, not resold.
We mention it because it matters when choosing a supplier: when the system is your own, a change your operation needs is a development decision rather than someone else's platform limitation. It can be checked on our LinkedIn profile and on the system in production.
How we work, and what we do not do
We would rather say this up front, because it saves everyone time:
- We do not quote before understanding the operation. A price always comes from a person, after a conversation, not from a form or an automated agent.
- We do not promise the AI learns on its own. Language models do not retrain themselves from what they talk about. What we do is a review cycle: read where the agent got it wrong and correct its information.
- The data belongs to the client. Exportable, at any time.
- We start with one process, not ten. One finished project changes how a team works; five half-done ones change nothing.
